The first step is always the hardest so take one step or day at a time. What shoes will you wear today? Are you ending a long drawn out painful cycle in your life? As one door closes, another will open up to your future of possibilities creating opportunities. If we stay in the past for too long, we will continue to drown in our own insecurities. For example, doubt and fear will only hinder us. How do we pick ourselves up to move forward? We analyze our strengths and weaknesses. For instance, what do we have right here and now in front of us to work with and what do we need to have in order to get us to where we want to be? We must take the steps we are guided to take.
Take the Stairs to get to your destination
Climbing the Stairs One Golden Foot at A Time
Once upon a time, you were scared to move forward with your dreams. Now that you know what you want, you still continue to go back and forth with your mind. You contemplate how will I ever get to where I want to be? You question yourself over and over again. “Do I take this risk”? Do I take the first step up the ladder? What if I fall again? You can’t really fall any further if you are already on the ground. You can either stay where you are and drown or you can take the first step into your future. The “key” here is to know what you want. What is your end goal? This gives you a purpose to pursue. So put on your golden shoes and follow the yellow brick road.
Dressed for Success
All that Glitters is Gold
A time to mourn and a time to dance. Of course there is no right or wrong answer to how you will get to your goal. Put on that golden dress to go with those golden shoes. When you dress for success you feel better about yourself. Oh I forgot, you’ll look better too! It will be a learning process which is why I will wear my golden shoes. The more you learn in your journey the better it will be. Continue to take the steps necessary to reach your goals. Yes, there will be road blocks and obstacles. At this point, if you have the courage and strength to keep going, nothing will stop you from getting to where you want to be except you. You are the master and creator of your own destiny.

In our darkest hour coping with loss we find that it is difficult to grieve the loss of a loved one, separation from a loved one or loss of some kind. For instance, it feels as though a long sharp edged knife, two or three is more like it, were sliced into my heart with blood force. Specifically, here is your heart, let me take this sword and drive the dagger right into it piercing from top to bottom. Furthermore, since you have one sword thru your heart, why don’t I stick two more swords thru your heart. “That will make me feel better” says Satan. In addition to daggers being thrust through my body, the emotional turmoil will not let my mind free.
Like a Dagger Straight Thru the Heart
It is in our darkest hour that we feel a tornado swirling inside, the pain so real and so deep. Specifically, picture the tearing of muscles being separated from it’s organs. Is this what it means to fall to your knees? At times, I want to laugh with mischief to cover up the pain that is tormenting me. At other times I want to cry uncontrollably so that I can just release this agony. I question, why I am feeling this way? Everything you thought was real, was not real, or was it? Why is it necessary to go through such pain and suffering? Why must I be the example for everyone else? You tell me to keep pushing forward. You keep telling me everything will be alright.

Questioning Your Loss in sorrow and doubt
Is it true that falling deep into the depths of our souls will teach us how to find ourselves? Searching thru the darkness like a lost child trying to get out of a patch of pricker bushes. Our hands and legs getting cut and sliced as we try to break free only to keep getting stuck in the next pricker bush. Blood dripping down the palm of your hand feeling numb to the open wounds. Silently screaming for someone to help you get unstuck yet, no one can hear you. You feel helpless and lost. You are weakened and holding on to the very last bit of strength that you have left. However, you manage to find the strength you need to continue to walk the path that is laid before you.
Even when stuck, the light still shines thru the darkness
Pleading for Understanding To Why This Must Happen
Is it necessary to cut the core to our inner being? Why must we trust in ourselves? Transformation is like destroying all that you once knew only to rebuild or be reborn again. A completely valid point that you are tired and worn out. You even question yourself and say “how do I stand back up and get through this? I don’t want to rebuild. Why must I do this?” You complain and plead to God hoping he is listening to you in your darkest hour coping with loss. “Dear Lord, I have cut the cord. This sacrifice is killing me inside and out. Please show me the way. I’m lost in this darkness.”
Like Footprints in the Sand-Follow your faith
Searching for Guidance In Your Faith
Having the faith to guide you through your darkest hour is to understand that in reality you are never truly alone, especially if you have faith. Like “Footprints In the Sand” just when you thought God had left you to burn and bleed thru your heart and soul, he whispers in your ear “my child, that is when I carried you”. He tells you that you are a rare jewel and I have come to take your pain and suffering away. But first before I do that, you must do something for me. You must shine your light so bright that the world will have no other option but to listen to what you have to share and say.
And Suddenly a Ray of Light Shines
Acceptance of What Was, What Is and What Will Be
When you feel your world has been torn down and your holding on to the only thing you have left: we call that hope. By the same token, there is this voice inside my head. It says to “keep shining sunshine. Not only, will I protect you thru your pain and suffering but I will also love you. As well as be guiding you.”
How is it that you do you not see that you have been chosen to inspire and impact others? Together with your true nature and character you can achieve anything. This voice inside my head continues to tell me that “I believe in you. Of course, I believe you have the strength and endurance to get you thru.” I continue to tell myself that I was given this task by the higher power to be an example of how powerful love is in this cold world.
Equally important hope and faith tells us we won’t be alone.
Some paths along my journey, I will have to go alone, but I always know that my spirit guides are with me. As a matter of fact, we were given a body of armor to wear everyday (depending on your faith). Furthermore, no one can take your pain away, but you can accept that pain is part of life. Specifically, growing pains. Together, these tools and gifts have been given for you to Heal and then Show the world who you are.
Body of Armor

Distractions are everywhere and can smother your mind at times.
Are distractions holding you back from going after your goals? A distraction is a process that will block or prohibit an individual from remaining focused on a desired outcome or goal. This definitely happens to the best of us. We have individual dreams and goals and most of the time we get stuck or blocked from being able to accomplish these dreams. I sometimes question myself and ask why?
Have you thought about some distractions that have been or could be blocking your Desired Goals?
Television
Cell phones
Other People’s Opinions
Your Family
Bills/Money
Chores/Responsibilities
Social Activities
Work/Career
What are some ways to handle distractions that are holding you back?
Take a break
Meditation
Exercise
Watch the sun rise and or set
Listen to music
Take a hike in the woods
Try something new
Read a book
Take A Break from Distractions that might be holding you back
Relaxing from distractions in a hotel room on the Waterfront in downtown Baltimore, MD.
When I say take a break from distractions that might be holding you back, I am saying that sometimes we need to step out of the confusion in order to ground or regroup ourselves. For example, I like to take mini vacations to regroup. Specifically, I will go stay in a hotel for a night or two completely by myself. Some may call it solitude. To me, I get the rest I need. I am able to think about me as an individual and it allows me to figure out what I need to do in order to continue going after my goals. In addition to the rest, I am able to gain the energy that is needed to stay focused with the constant waves of everyday life challenges.
How can meditation help you from getting distracted?
Yoga Muriel at RI Yoga Center in Kingston, RI when I took my first Hot Power Yoga Class to help with my breathing and meditation techniques
Meditation is a technique used to help us as individuals to focus on mental clarity and awareness. If our minds are filled with other people’s opinions than maybe that means we are focused on other’s goals and not necessarily our own goals. However, I do feel that it is always good to listen to other people’s opinions but being able to decipher what will help guide you and what will hinder you are two different things. It has taken me a long time to learn from trials and errors thru life experiences that have gotten me to a place where I will listen to what other’s have to say, but in reality I will try my best to remain focused on me, the individual.
Is exercise a good way to handle distractions that may hold you back?
Exercise in itself is a must for a healthy and well balanced lifestyle. For instance, not only does exercise help with oxygen and blood flow through our veins and muscles to keep our blood pumping, it also helps to release negative toxins that may be trapped in our minds and bodies. For example, running can build your inner core strength, as well as, get rid of stomach fat and release endorphins that make you a happy person.
elevate barre and cycle studio has been a life savor for allowing me to exercise at my own pace. Personal Trainer, owner and my sister Sara Loretta has encouraged me to follow my dreams and become healthy at the same time. We both enjoy a variety of music which makes it fun.
I am not an expert on exercise and yes I need to get into a routine of finding an exercise that I enjoy doing. However, I do believe in the benefits for exercising. So the question you might have for me that I have for myself, is what is holding Sheri back from doing exercise if she knows she needs to and it will benefit her? I too am working on my own distractions. Handling one distraction at a time.
I’m a sucker for big old fashioned head phones. My favorite part is that they are Noise Canceling. Even better when you wear them, everyone still thinks you are listening to them and really you are drowning them out. My little secret. Beats Studio3
Listening to Music to distract my mind from distractions
First and foremost, music is one of the biggest forms of salvation for me. No matter what I am feeling or doing, music has an effect on me. Second, music is a very powerful tool that I use in many forms. For instance, I listen to music when I am happy, mad and sad. However, I enjoy all kinds of music. Third, I like to feel the music move through my body and feed into my soul. It can capture the pure essence of my being. Fourth, I enjoy listening to music to help me meditate. Specifically, it gets me in a zone to release anger or sadness that has been suppressed deep down inside. Fifth, music can be used as a form of expression. For example, when I try to sing like the artist or if I am dancing to the beat.
Singing and acting a fool to release my stress is one way I clear my mind from distractions. When the right beat hits my soul, forget about it. I don’t care who is around, I get lost in my own world. You know the saying “Dance as if no one is Watching”. I live that to my greatest potential.
Moreover, I drive with music, clean with music, exercise with music, sleep with music, socialize with music and I am sure you are getting the idea of the benefits of music with me. How does music have an affect on your own life and well being?
What about trying something new to help with distractions
Trying something new can also be a distraction, however for this blog we are looking at the benefits of trying something new to help with handling our distractions. For instance, if we never try something we have never done before, than how are we going to expand our minds that will help us reach our dreams and goals? For example, if you are open to learning a new culture or craft, you are now stimulating your brain cells.
Wine and Paint Night. My mom, big sis and my only daughter had a great night out, spending time together and trying something new.
Specifically, let’s look at paint and wine nights, that is one of the new craves going around. I could be behind on craves, but you get the idea. People are gathering together with old friends and meeting new friends while they are in a class learning how to paint a picture. As a result of an event like this, most people who finish this class are usually leaving with a smile on their faces. Specifically, they are feeling good about what they were able to learn on their own, amazed that they had the ability to create something of their own and they connected with someone new. I am sure the wine helped them to relax and open up a little bit. Hopefully you get the point.
In Conclusion Have You Thought About The Distractions in Your Own Life?
I know that we sometimes don’t want to look at reality and what is holding us back from truly going after our own dreams and goals. I do this all the time. Its called denial and we will distract ourselves and continue to distract ourselves until we are forced to look at the situation.
This picture is dark and gloomy, but isn’t that what a distraction can look like to someone who is confused? No soul, no direction, no reason for motivation.
What happens when we are in denial of many different situations? That’s a great question and it is a hard one to learn. I personally am working on figuring out what my own dreams and goals are. Specifically, taking the time in solitude to really focus on what I want for my life. In addition to this time for solitude, I continue to focus on handling my personal situations head on since they will not resolve themselves on their own. As a result to this understanding, I have learned that I am sensitive to some distractions and completely cold to other distractions.

The ritualistic nature of burning sage can reduce our stress response. For one reason we burn sage is to cleanse our environment from negative energy. Another reason we burn sage is to gain wisdom and clarity from our cluttered mind space. Third, we burn sage to promote inner healing.
burning sage for healing can be referred to as Smudging
For instance, smudging for cleansing and spiritual healing is a ceremony that has been practiced by Indigenous People which involves the burning of sacred herbs. Specifically, forms of Sage (Common Sage or White Sage) and Cedar are the most typical herbs used for burning in a smudging ceremony. Traditionally, First Nations have special herbs to purify and bless people and places. Moreover, if we want to look deeper into the healing benefits of sage, their have been a few instances where the smudging would be done in the hospital to cleanse and repel evil spirits from the ill and sick. For example, it is similar to a priest coming in to give Holy Communion to a patient.
First, we start by inhaling the smoke from the burning herbs. For instance, this is similar to a meditation technique, where you would take in a deep breathe, hold for a few seconds and then release/exhale. Second, we focus on our personal self and body as the smoke circles around our heads and travels down in circular motion to our ankles and feet. It is much easier to do this practice with a feather to help guide the burning smoke. In addition to personal clearing, you can continue the smudging ritual in your car and home. From my perspective there is no limit on how many times you can repeat the smudging ritual. Sometimes, I do it multiple times in a day and then their are other days when I would do it daily. It is completely up to the individual. Of course, I’m addicted to the burning sage.
An Alternative option to burning sage is the safe smudge spray
If you are feeling down, stressed or just want to clear the energy around you, I recommend trying a smudging ritual ceremony of your own. You might be glad you did. Let me know if you have any questions about smudging and cleansing. I’m here to help. Have a great day.

Invest in my name, invest in my brand, what does that really mean? I’ve got the feeling that someone wants to brand me? Well, I can tell you that the only person branding Sheri is Sheri. Let that be clear. Yes, Sheri is a stubborn human being, however she is also kind and loving and likes to help others be the best they can be. Sheri’s Dream Catcher is about finding my purpose, passion and dreams. First, it started with the help of others who have reminded me of what I am capable of. Second, they believed in me before I believed in myself. As a result, I would not be where I am today without their direction and faith in me learning some hard core life lessons. I give thanks to all who have taught me valuable lessons and supporting me in following my own dreams. I do hope someday, I am able to reciprocate their kindness.
We are given our Native Name by what we do and who we are in spirit
My Native Name is Dream Catcher
In order for me to move forward with my dreams, I need to invest in my own name. Hence, invest in myself. Ultimately, that will lead to investing in my own brand. Since I have begun working on all aspects of my life, physical, emotional and spiritual, I have grown in more ways than one. As a result of growing stronger on the inside, I am sharing my thoughts and trials and tribulations with you in my blogs. Without further ado, I would like to introduce you to Sheri (pictured above) the Author and Creator of Sheri’s Dream Catcher. Sheri is a spiritual person who enjoys being spiritually, emotionally and physically connected to Our Ancestor’s Culture. Furthermore, she enjoys learning, traveling, connecting and educating herself everyday to help her on her spiritual path and journey.
Catching Dream with the help of a simple dream catcher
By looking at the picture above you see a dream catcher with the sun shining through it. This tells us that we have dreams that are still left for us to achieve prior to the sun setting. Legend also says that if you place the dream catcher above your head at night, the bad dreams will become entangled in the web which will be burned at suns first light. As a result of catching the bad dreams, this will allow your good dreams to pass through the web and travel down the feathers hanging from the dream catcher . Ultimately the good dreams will pass down into your mind. As a result, this process will allow you to see and follow your good dreams. Could this be where a vision comes from?
I like supporting Authentic Native American Products-Navajo Hand Made Dream Catcher

Furthermore, I practice building my inner core and spiritual healing to help me with furthering my life’s purpose. For instance, I smudge just about daily to help cleanse away the negative energy. In addition, I enjoy inhaling the aroma of smudging with the Sage, Smudging Sticks and Palos Sticks. It feels so good once you light that baby up.
Focus on building your inner core and healing. This is the base for helping you to believe in yourself which in turn will give you the strength and courage you need to go after your own dreams.

The famous line procrastination can leave us feeling stressed and depressed. Piles of dirty dishes and laundry with no where to start. How many of us have a problem with the famous line procrastination? I know at times I procrastinate a lot. Why is that, I thought to myself? I have always been a very organized person but over the years I have developed the habit of procrastination, meaning delaying something or postponing doing something usually until the last minute. I am sure I am not alone when it comes to procrastination.
Procrastination can be stressful
Procrastination can be stressful. As I get older, I feel as though I am turning into my own mother. Yes, yes, I know mother knows best and well sometimes we learn the hard way when it means listening to our parents. For instance, my mom always gave us chores to do on a daily basis. All she asked was that we washed and folded the laundry and washed the dishes in the sink prior to her getting home from work. That is not asking for too much, now is it? However, as kids we would would wait until 4:45pm to do our chores. Typical kid mentality right?
Now that I am older, I also ask my kids to be sure that the laundry is folded and the dishes are done prior to my arrival home from work. However, in my situation, my children will argue their case as to why they do not need to do the chores in the house. The usual term “because I said so” is the last word out of my mouth. Again, procrastination can be stressful.
Procrastination can lead to piled up laundry and where do I begin?
Procrastination Can Be Stressful-Mom’s mouth is on Repeat Mode
Please don’t wait until the last minute
Cleaning is not just a chore but a responsibility
I’m training you for your first job
I’m not the only one who lives in this house
We need to work as a team
I’m not cleaning up after you and your friends while I’m at work all day
Mommy needs your help and cooperation
I want you to know how to be self sufficient
A clean house is a happy house
Conquering Procrastination one load at a time
Am I the procrastination model?
I have often wondered why I waste my time arguing with my kids. Do they understand that procrastination can be stressful? LOL, of course not. Is it that they never saw me doing the laundry or washing the dishes? Someone needs to get these chores done and if the kids did not do it, mom did it. However, they were probably outside playing or at practice while I was doing these things. After a while, mom was getting tired of picking up after everyone in the house. Let’s not forget the time mom was also working a full time job, going to school full time, taking care of 3 little kids as a single mom, taking care of a disabled father at home and trying to recover from neck surgery. Yet, all of my children had clothes on their backs, food in their bellies, a roof over their heads, rides to practices/games and everything else in between.
Do you see the difference a clean sink makes?
I guess you can say that at times the dishes and laundry would pile up just like the mail did because the time management schedule was completely out of control and well some things had to be postponed and delayed until a later time.
Ultimately, the procrastination became a habit and I continued to focus on other things while deep down I was cringing because I knew in the back of my head that I needed to get things done. Overwhelmed with the thought of even beginning to do something put me into a stressed out and depressive state of mind. I believe effects of procrastination do eventually lead to some form of state of depression.
Understanding that Procrastination can be stressful
In order for me to move forward with my procrastination problem, I need to understand what procrastination is and what I was doing to contribute to it. The first step in changing a daily habit is admitting to yourself that you have a habit in the first place. Once you can understand and accept your flaws then you are able to work on them. As a result, I have been slowly but surely taking a small amount of time each day and prioritizing chores, responsibilities and anything that I have been procrastinating on.
Procrastination can be stressful but, little by little, the clutter has been clearing up and my stress level is going down. I am hoping to continue this new habit and continuing to move forward with the things I would like to do. I know that not everyone has the same goals as me but if I can help at least one person, I have done my job.

Our day tripping adventure to Block Island all started when we decided to take the Block Island Ferry regular trip which was only like $23 round trip. Not bad of a price since its like $11.50 each way or estimated @$10 each way (I prefer to think I spent less on the trip, lol. Of course you can take the fast ferry which gets you there in only a 1/2 hour but the prices were double and I prefer to use my money wisely and enjoy the ride. Of course we have options to take private boats but sometimes it’s fun to be a tourist in your own hometown. It was a gorgeous day for day tripping.
Block Island is an island off the coast of Rhode Island and it takes just about an hour by boat to get there from Pt. Judith, RI. It is also east of Montauk Point, Long Island. You can take a boat from New London, CT, Pt. Judith, RI and Newport, RI if you wish. As an alternative option, I believe they also have a small airport for those who would like to fly into the island. I actually thought about sky-diving onto the Island. Just kidding, but hey it could be an option, you never know.
How was Block Island Named?
In history they tell us that the The Island was named after Dutch explorer Adriaen Block who named it after himself when he sailed to the island in 1614. Hence the name Block Island. However, the first inhabitants of Block Island were the Native American Indians. Specifically, The Niantics who eventually merged with The Narragansett Indian Tribe. Their is evidence that dates back over thousands of years which can be learned on the Block Island Historical website (https://blockislandhistorical.org). The Natives called the Island “Manisses” which means “Island of the Little God”.
I’m not going to lie, this action mount head mount for my cell phone is on my wish list. I did use my smart phone camera which is fine, but it would have been nice if I was hands free and recording while I was biking the island.
Great Photo Opportunities When You travel to Block Island even for One Day
Pictures Galore and Great Scenery to Explore- Below are a few shots I took from the top of the Block Island Ferry on our way home to the Port of Galilee. We were lucky to watch the sun setting in the distance. Pictures do not do it justice and it literally took our breaths away even for that moment in time.

Some say daily struggles can either help or hinder us. The Value of “Life Happens” not to you but for you. Yes, I’m hit with obstacles every day and sometimes, minute by minute and hour by hour. This could be the reason why our daily struggles can leave us feeling ripped, worn and torn finding it hard to move forward. Some days I need to put a shield around me to protect myself. I’m not saying I’m in danger but from time to time I see everything that is happening around me. Losing loved ones tragically and peacefully. Struggling to pay bills and dealing with getting by pay check to pay check. Wondering if their is more to life than what is right in front of me. Knowing that I have the ability to do and create the life I want. Worried about my children and praying they are strong enough to handle what the world throws at them. Hoping that everyone will get along and not start knife fighting over who drank the last beer. Helping a friend who may have just gotten out of jail, or fighting the mental disease of bipolar and drugs. Understanding the reason why some may hustle in the late hours selling drugs to provide for their family because they can’t get out or off the system.
Handle Yourself with Care
The day to day struggle is no different for you or me. It’s how we are able to handle the storm that is ripping us apart and tearing us limb to limb knowing that we are already worn out when it hits.
Ripped, worn and torn blue jeans is an example of how daily struggles can affect us on the inside. Taken in the Financial District of New York City September 2019
No, I’m not talking about clothes. Some could think I’m shopping for stressed out, white washed, cut off jeans. Not today. It’s not a bad idea and I could use some new clothes. School shopping is just around the corner. This year will be different though. All three of my children are working and I’m teaching them to put away their paycheck and get through the week with their tips. Little do they know they will be purchasing their own school clothes, shoes and supplies this year. I’m sure they will feel the daily struggles are both hindering and helping them at the same time. I’ve waited a long time for this. It’s important for me to teach them the basics of how to manage their hard worked income now that they are in the game of more month than cash. They will feel ripped, worn and torn by the end of the summer.
I Say Bring On The Storm So I Can Help Myself To Conquer These Daily Struggles
We’ve Got Our Shields All Around Us. Use your Shield of Armor to fight your daily struggles
So what does it mean when I say that daily struggles can leave us feeling ripped, worn and torn finding it hard to move forward? Have you ever looked at your self standing firmly on the ground and looked up to see the tornado storm whipping around you mixed with debris? Yes, this is an exaggeration but think with me here. This storm can either hinder you or help you. How, you might ask? This storm will show you how much strength you have inside you to fight to stay alive, that will help you to see how strong you really are.
Perseverance is Key
If you can fight with all your might against all the bull crap that storm is throwing at you, then you can do anything you put your mind and heart to. Nothing is stopping you from doing what you want to do except you. You have a force shield around you, looking like a human standing in the middle of a bubble. You know that debris (bull crap) will not hit you or damage you. In fact, you know that any debris (bull crap) that flies towards you, it will be bounced off that force shield. You also know that your feet are safe and firmly on the ground. You need to tell yourself, I am not ripped, worn and torn, I am stronger than any storm.
People only do what you allow them to do
On the other hand, you can let and allow all the gossip, drama and bull crap get to you and bring you down. That is what it means when they say it can hinder you. Basically it stops you from succeeding and doing what you know you can do. It gives you doubt. Do you believe that “no weapon formed against me shall prosper”? A storm in this case is the weapon and you will have courage and strength within yourself to not let it break you. Stand tall in who you are. Remember the storm will pass but you my friend will still be standing strong.
While one may be struggling to survive the daily turmoil, others are putting their own lives on the line to help the struggling party. Team Rescue at Narragansett Beach during Hurricane Earl 2010
No matter how ripped, worn and torn we feel, we are stronger than any force field. Everyday we strive for happiness. Everyday another loved one or friend is hurting with sadness. Why do they say death happens in threes. I have not researched that yet but I’m sure it has something to do with our seeds. Togetherness and unity is what keeps us strong. Why then I must ask you do you feel ripped, worn and torn? “It’s not why is this happening to me, but what is this teaching me?” If “like attracts like” then as we grow we bond with those who wish to work together and are striving for the same thing. Support is all around you. It may not be within your immediate family and that is OK.
Being Grateful for what and who you have in your life
Support comes in all shapes, colors and sizes. You never know who will be there for you and who will risk their own lives to help save you. Be grateful that you were born for a reason and you have a purpose. No two lights shine the same. But all in all we are all living in the same game. Generation to generation and we see that the times have all changed. Ripped, worn and torn I am here to master my own game. Yet, still some believe that daily struggles can leave us feeling ripped, worn and tornfinding it hard to move forward.
Do you agree that our daily struggles can either hinder or help us? Are you feeling ripped, worn and torn about everything?

I have always believed in capturing the moments and making them into memories. Not only do I enjoy doing it, but it allows my mind to be creative. I also look at my life through the eyes of my casket. Please don’t be shocked by that, it helps me to put things into perspective and we never know when our time will be up. Since I have lost friends and family members at an early age, I tend to think about these things. Don’t we say “Life is Short“, Right? What will my children remember about me and what memories would they have to remember me by? What gifts and lessons can I leave them so that when I am not here they will be able to see what I have taught them and can utilize the tool and wisdom I have left for them.
How do I keep my memories? I enjoy taking pictures, scrap booking, making photo collages, videos, etc. I’m sure their are more ways to create memories, I am naming the ones I do and as I learn more, my creativity will evolve too.
Why Do I Enjoy Dancing to Music?
Family Roots and Traditions
Great question and aside from loving all kinds of music, I was always taught to “dance as if know one is watching“. I created a lot of memories with my children, friends and family throughout the years just by listening to music and dancing. Dancing to Music is another way to tell a story and express yourself. Dancing is healthy for you too! It helps you to move your body, sweat, exercise, connect with people and just have fun. These are some of the places I tend to dance with music:
Dancing in the living room
Dancing by the car
Dancing in the car
Dancing at the bar
Dancing in the club
Dancing at a concert
Dancing at a wedding
Dancing in a seat
Dancing at the campsite
Dancing down the street
Dancing on the beach
Dancing alone
Dancing with someone else
Dancing in a group
Why Add Music To My Memories?
Keeping the Memories Alive
I have learned that music helps you to remember and tells a story. If I associate music with my memories than I will be able to remember the beauty I have created with my life. Since my grandmother had Alzheimer’s and I work with people who have a memory impairment, I try to focus on keeping my brain stimulated. If music helps us to recall events in our lives, than I prefer to keep my memories alive. Thank you for learning about my timeline. They also say your timeline is the dash placed between your date of birth and your date of death. 1976-(unknown).
I Say Music Is My Soul
Because it is the book of my own life and my own memory! What’s your story or timeline? Do you believe music and memories go hand in hand?
Just Over My Head or My Horizon are the colors of my mind
Colors of My Mind and My Space Between Energy and Light-My Horizon
What does it mean to relate colors of one’s mind to visions they see for the future? From my point of view, In colors of my mind I see that the spiritual realm is just over my head. At times I think it is the perception that what I am working towards is just over my horizon. The blue energy is just radiating over my head and to me it shows energy. First of all, my belief is that energy is powerful. However, I do not understand all the scientific and spiritual meanings and forms of energy, but I do believe in the power of energy. Similar to karma “what goes around comes around” and “law of attraction” meaning what you put out into the universe will come back to you. As a result of this belief, I try very hard to put good out into the world.

Colors of my mind and being a Scorpio Sign
In addition, I am capable of diving deep into the shadows of the underworld. Being that I am a spiritual person and my birth sign is that of a Scorpio, I try to understand the traits of the zodiac sign. For instance, research states that a Scorpio sign represents the “death” card for endings and reincarnations. Furthermore, I don’t necessarily like to go into the shadow world, but I do know that if I can battle my own demons than I am capable of doing anything I put my mind to. As in illustration, I will have to go deep into my own being/mind with time and meditation so that I can see clearly the right path to take.
Once I am able to learn how to take the power that is within myself, I will be able to shine my light (as a beacon) for myself and others. As a result of this belief, I will dive into the depths of my own soul. This can lead to deep understanding of one’s self along with faith and courage.

Beauty Is In The Eye Of The Beholder
Behold My Blue Eye in Colors of My Mind
They say “beauty is in the eye of the beholder” and what does that mean to me? Specifically, I must believe in myself and see the beauty in myself. No matter how much or how many times a person tells you how beautiful you are, it does not affect you until you actually believe it yourself. The courage to believe in yourself will help you fight off the negative energy that is out there in this world. For instance, as soon as you start to pick yourself up, people you thought who cared about you start saying things to mess with your head. Is it that they are jealous and want to bring you back down to their level or is that they are testing you to see if you really have made a change?
As above, so below with the color blue
They say that the color of the blue ocean is a reflection of the blue sky. “As above, so below”. Since blue is my favorite color and we know that their are many shades of blue, that must mean that the color blue I see from my eye is really dependent upon my point of view. For instance, my point of view in this blog says that my blue eye sees the ocean of emotions which can be seen in the waves crashing as the tide is moving in and out. Furthermore, I have been taught that the moon controls the tides. Therefore that means the moon must also have an effect on our emotions. As a result to this theory, we tend to pay close attention to full moons.
Don’t Be Afraid to Take a Hard Look At Yourself In The Mirror
The colors of my mind and my horizon representing the ever interchanging colors in between
Wrapped All Into One-Outlined with Colors in Colors of my mind
The colors of my mind and my horizon representing the ever interchanging colors in between the height of the tree and me. Specifically, it is the distance and space of everything that flows between my head and the top of the tree that is placed behind me. As you can see, the tree is outlined with different shades of colors. Now, if you look close enough you can see the reflection of the moon on the tip top of the tree leaves that show a purplish blue color.
So the space between my head and the top of the tree must be my horizon. Specifically, my horizon represents the timeline of my inner beauty to show me who I am, where I have been and where I am headed. Furthermore, it shows me that my path for the future is unknown.
Challenged Daily By Our Interchanging Colors Of The Mind
Since we are to “expect the unexpected”, we are challenged daily. Furthermore, we are triggered by events to help to teach us lessons that will either help or hinder us. As a result of these lessons, we are to teach these lessons we have learned to others. In conclusion, it is important to give guidance to others who are looking for reassurance and to help them know that they are not alone in this world.
