Reflecting on the year 2020

Recently on Sheri’s Dream Catcher’s Instagram Sip N Think Live Chat held on December 30th, 2020, our topic of discussion was reflecting on the year 2020. First we looked at our comfort zone, where the magic happens and the space between the two. Next we looked at the meaning of 2020. Specifically, is it 2020 vision or in other words equal vision? What do you think?

Reflections on the year 2020
Envision Dream Reflections Back Pack

Here is a list of 2020 reflections discussed on our Sip N Think Chat

  1. Australia Wild Fires that burned a record 47 acres killing more than a billion animals.
  2. NBA Legend Koby Bryant and his 13 old daughter Gianna and seven others were killed in a helicopter crash in Calabasas, California.
  3. Harvey Weinstein was convicted of rape and sexual assault in New York destroying his career and gave rise to the #metoo movement.
  4. Global Pandemic where the whole world went on house arrest, toilet paper was raided from all the shelves, people we love dying, the economy went to shit, etc.
  5. George Floyd was brutally killed by a police officer which ignited riots and protests around the world bringing the racism and police brutality to light even more than ever before in history.
  6. Murder Hornets were discovered flying around us in the state of Washington
  7. Desert Locusts, the worlds most devastating pests were swarming in large numbers in Kenya, Ethiopia, Uganda, Somalia, Eritrea, India, Pakistan, Iran, Yemen, Oman and Saudi Arabia.
  8. Presidential Election 2020: Trump vs. Biden or was it Blue vs. Red?
  9. Wild Weather where in 141 years of climate records, we only had 3 states-Alaska, Hawaii and North Dakota-that weren’t apart of the billion-dollar weather disaster. Record Breaking 30 named storms during the Hurricane Season where meteorologists had to use letters from the Greek Alphabet to identify storms because they were running out of prepared names.
  10. The Great Conjunction between 2 planets: Jupitar and Saturn. They say this great phenomena, Bethlehem Star or Christmas Star happened for the first time in 800 years. So on December 21, 2020 about 45 minutes after sunset, Jupitar and Saturn appeared just one-tenth of a degree apart, according to NASA.
